I have a 225pg Quark Doc with 2 different master pages. If i try and change anything on the masters now and click back to a pg in the doc Quark just crashes. If i delete anything on a document page which is carried from the master pg it crashes as well. If i change something on the master pg and then save, IT CRASHES!!!
Someone please help me. Ive tried rebooting, tried qrk 4 and 5 and i have the 501 update. I have tried working off the server and my desktop and on other computers. Someone please stop the crashing......

Markztools III has sometimes comed in handy in situations like yours http://www.markzware.com/markzto… - doesnt support 5.0 tho, and even tough I recall seeing a demoversion of it, I cant really seem to find it right now.

thanks jkob & bon
that markstools looks pretty good. Pretty bad that quark requires plugins and shareware so that you dont lose all your work.

id hate to catch hell and say it but,
run quark version 4 on mac 9.2 and the printers will love you.

You cant really allocate more RAM to the program on a PC (unless you buy an extra RAM block). You might wanna try breaking your file into several document of 32-40 pages each - you can always use the book function to collect the documents before printing. Every now and then the best thing to do is simply copy and pasting everything into a new document. It sucks, but the alternative might be worse ...
