for real...what is it?
took pictures of this thing in the summer
anyone know what it is?
my dad thinks its a cicada...whatever it is..it was really fuckin weird..it collected pollen like a bee, its wings always flapped even when it perched on things and its body was fuzzy like a caterpillar kinda
it was like part bee, hummingbird, moth and caterpillar!

once in high school we put some jack daniels in the humming bird feeder. it was a sight to behold. they were flying into the glass door and got so tipsy they couldnt get their beeks in the feeder.
we got in trouble too

a hummingbird and a moth had sex and had a baby but the baby was experimented on by a mad geneticist and created that hybrid creature

we saw one down at the pub the other week. they have a proboscis that is at least two inches long - amazing.
my wise neighbour said that they are a kind of moth that has not been native in the uk for many years, however the fires in france this summer have driven then north to the uk.
