I use .rar files in Jag all the time, using Unrar X:

Unrar X is awesome, even has parity file support (look it up).
Stuffit does support .rar but only the older .rar compression types.

*.rar files are PC zip files, usually made to span multiple files for say, downloading a game or something of the sort. Stuff it does support them, but usually just on the PC side.
I have the same laptop, and it rocks, thanks mini me

I can't open these files at all. They download with Stuffit icons, but Expander wants no part of them. Are they installers? I'm running Jaguar 10.2.6 on MiniMe's 17" laptop.
