damn cool. get a satin finish for extra coolness.

I like it, although I would take the logo and put it in the same position as the other side of the card.

sweet. i need to redo the mark again
its fuckin hard for me to get super smooth curves in illustrator. i think the mark could be done better. same thing but better.
kOna: satin=expensive got the pricelist from 4x6 they seem high. any less expensive good printers?
the satin finish is BADASS.
need to tweek the card a bit more....
thanks for the comments. at least i'm doin somethin right.

I would make the type even smaller because it's too easy to read right now.

I would advise you not to worry about the Satin finish. Just pay good attention to the paper stock. If your run isnt that high, maybe you can get the paper donated... Give it a shot

pug.
which type?
i just pasted the file from illustrator into photoshop. its kinda small now as well.
i need to do a test print to see what it will really look like.
the satin? it would be nice....i'll see what this one printer i know can do for me.....hook me up ihope.
i'm more concerned bout my mini book design. i need to send these off to design firms and i want to blow them away.
the look is gonna be similar (duh) to the cards. simple, metal spiral bound
7x10.5 i get the printing for $2 a double sided sheet, and the binding costs $5 per. i have about 12 -15 pieces in the book, so the book is about 26 pages or so.
once thats done, i'll work on an online version of the portfolio.
i think that should land me a decent job. i hope.

yeah...get good paper stock. I priced out a biz card at a local printer with satin finish (like 4x6) and the price was about the same and I can have control over stock and printing.
An idea...find someone who needs biz cards, sell them on satin finish, design it, and then gang yours on the press. voila.

smart. we send a ton of work to the printer...they do nightclub flyers mostly. but do a lot of other stuff so ususally they'll hook us up....i'm not sure about the satin finish though.
i just hope everything i design comes out really nice. i've been tryin hard.
i've only started to really design about 2.5 years ago. i've come a long long way, but i have SOOOOOOO much to learn.
i'm starting to find my style....and its different than that i had in school. in school ( i graduated about 3 months ago) i was wild. i;d do crazy looking shit....kick ass, but it was wild.
teacher hated it. hes old school. now i'm getting simpler with my design.

your going to have to make sure your printer is damn good at cutting with the precision of some of those fine details near the edge of the card - something to bear in mind

rasko: good point...didnt think of that.
those fuckers are so uncompitent i'd probably have to be there to scream at those dumbasses not to fuck it up
