But, the point is, I ..and numerous fricking crime studies.. agree that weed's not a 'bad' thing - there's nothing 'wrong' about it.
So, what right does the police have to impinge upon my civil liberties - and everyone else getting off the tube - in a non-focused, lucky-dip manner?
Especially as the government itself has succeeded in sending out entirely mixed messages to people for 10 years now, with their um-ing and ah-ing.
I know/knew it's 'illegal' but, it is really fucking annoying when the arresting officer patently couldn't care less!

Sounds like unlawful search and seizure to me. My advice as an American ...get a lawyer.
I can't believe I just typed that.

Well you were guilty of a crime right? You might not agree with the crime but it is a crime and you were guilty. Doesn't matter why they stopped you. They caught you. Seems like good police work to me. Just because you don't agree with the law doesn't mean you don't have to follow it.

"For a totalitarian tomorrow"
Motherfucker. I got off at Holborn tube station this afternoon, to be greeted by a sweet-natured sniffer dog with a liking for the eighth of weed I had in my bag.
This is the second time this year I've been taken in by the police in these fucking dragnets - HOW THE FUCK CAN IT BE LEGAL TO RANDOMLY SEARCH EVERYONE COMING OFF A TUBE?!
I am an entirely honest, good-natured individual (I help old ladies across the street) who bears no ill-will to anyone of any creed, colour ambition or composure.. but I smoke weed.
SO FUCKING WHAT?!
What annoys me even more is that the police were joking about it the quality of the skunk, and blatantly didn't care about it... SO WHY FUCKING BOTHER?!
This is my second strike - next time I'm going down.
