Another State of Mind (1984)
This really got me into punk/DIY/independant music. If follows (thw west coast) Youth Brigade and Social Distortion for LA to the east cost on tour. A lot of it is in DC, when they stay at the Discord house and play with Minor Threat. It's a freakin' classic:http://www.amazon.com/exec/obido…

Gimme Shelter,
nothing else comes closeand go see if you can find the Roxy Music - Total Recall documentary. Its excellent. "Total Recall is a must for that new crop of youngsters unfamiliar with the punch of the wigged-out, gold lame interplay of media-happy cliches and bleak European alienation that marked Roxy Mach 1, or unaware of how radical it was to front a band wearing a tuxedo in 1974."
and don't forget:

Gimme Shelter: Absolutely.
...or anything by the Maysles Brothers for that matter.
They also did "What's Happening! The Beatles in the USA". An amazing piece of work that captures the moment of the band's arrival in the U.S. for the first time.
I'm not a huge fan of the Beatles, but I sat through a screening of the film with Albert Maysles, who said "We were in upstate New York and got a call from a friend to see if we could come down and film this new rock group that had become pretty popular overseas..."

Beatles Anthology: 3 nights on tv, three double discs, 10 VHS, 3 Beatles doing 2 new songs in 1994-95, a life-long fantasy come true.
Spinal Tap was a mockumentary
Don't Look Back was great but I kept wanting to hear the rest of the songs before they were cut off.
Monterey Pop Festival
God, I'm such a hippy.
