Hey...I need to embed two QT movies in an HTML document. I know how to do this in Dreamweaver MX but someone was saying to me today that I need to consider streaming and QT servers and and and...I didn't realize it was such a big deal. What do I need to consider? Can someone point me to a good reference? thx.

i think it's only if you plan on streaming your movies, rather then just having it play while it's downloading.
that sounds weird, but hope you get it. ;)

thanks. I'm off to the apple site to become a student of all things QT.

One HUGE thing to consider is that streaming will cost you. Not many places will do that, unless you are large or care to control the distribution (the cache) of the media.
Another choice would be to use flash. It doesn't truly stream, but it works better and you can control how much is played versus how much is downloaded.I am just beginning the flash video stuff. Looks very promising.

Flash Quicktime is awesome and you reach a lot more people with the MX plugin than Quicktime.
I wouldn't bother with streaming quicktime, unless you have a long segment to play. By long, I mean minutes or an hour, or a radio station type of thing. CNN or music sites are better off with that.

you can use Extension Manager in Dreamweaver MX, look for Quicktime Embedd plugin / extension. Good luck.
