In this new trailer, the music at the beggining is it Dead Can Dance? If so, can someone tell me the name of the song?

It's 'This Mortal Coil'. The singer from the Cocteu Twins. Not sure of the name of the song.

The name of the song might be "this Mortal Coil' also. I may be wrong. Look for 'It'II End In Tears'.
Another great song by them that's just as beautiful is titled 'Another Day'. it is amazingly heart touching. Same album I believe.

Yeah. Glad to help.
Brooke, it's one of my all time favorites too. but I never welcome the remakes. I like the look and feel of this one however. but they are usually let downs. Aside from Carpenter's The Thing, and Cronenbergs The Fly, but they were more like reVAMPS than reMAKES. Great films though. Both of them. The Blob remake was aight too.

I'm already totally disappointed.
Every cast member shown in the trailer is beautiful and annoying. One of the many great things about the original was that it used nobodys, and particularly unattractive ones at that.
Honestly, judging by the trailer, I want all of these people to die. It wouldn't affect me in the least.
Gimme a character I care about and then you have a great movie.

you know freakin' Rob Zombie has to have one track on that damn thing. lol!

yeah man, I would definately go to any movie opening with 'welcome to planet motherf**ker' by white zombie...

The song is a cover of Tim Buckley's 'Song to the Siren' by This Mortal Coil.

THREAD UPDATE on january 4th 2004
Hi, just saw this on amazon.com >
the opening song to the trailer and the theme for the film. is called Song to the Siren by Moneypenny. it is not on the soundtrack and it is not a single. seems they left off the best song. which is a drag i know. but again we get cheated by missing out on having a beautiful version of a classic song.
it is not the chemical brothers. thats a completely different song. its not This Mortal Coil. their version is much more gospel sounding. and Tim Buckly did not sing this version. and there are several several other cover versions. but the one for this film is by Moneypenny.
so stop trying to find it. cause its not anywhere on the net. and its not on any album.
so hope this helps. bad news i know. but maybe one day it will be released on a format.

This movie won't be as incredible as Rustboy, but it doesn't seem that bad. I saw about 20 minutes of it with a date. She couldn't sit through it because it was scary. We sat down for a drink and talked for a while and I never saw her again.
I have to say, Jessica Biel in a wife-beater is one of the most incredible sights in the world.
