Gorbie, why don't you tell me one of your greatest fears?

I saw the Trompe le Monde tour in Toronto, they were fabulous.
Another Incredible Boston band was Galaxie 500. What about Dinosaur Jr & Sebadoh, weren't they from around there also?
Wow the late 80's and early 90's where a great time for music.

Yeah, How about Jane's Addiction, Love and Rockets, The Smiths, Ministry, Stone Roses, Happy Mondays, Big Audio Dynamite, Jesus Jones. Sure beats the lame punker wannabes on the so called alernative radio stations. You have to dig so far to find good music these days. Otherwise, it's all Britney or Matchbox 20.

I saw the same Cure/Love and Rockets/ Pixies tour in Ottawa when I was 15 (I missed the Pixies though). I've gone to hundreds of shows since and none have come close to that night.

The funny thing I remember about the show in Giant Stadium was Robert Smith at the end of the night, saying Goodbye forever. (He thought he was breaking up the Cure-not the first time.)

Yeah the Pixies ROCK!!! Speaking of the Cure anyone check out the DVD: The Cure Trilogy? It is amazing, shot in HiDef. They play all of Pornography, Disintegration, and Bloodflowers live. Plus two extra tracks from Kiss Me: The Kiss and If only tonight we could sleep. Can't wait to finally see the Pixies!!!

I enjoy teen girls quite often, especially 18 and 19 year old ones. They seem to go for 30 year old guy who look 25. I was heavily into The Pixies, circa 1993, then Frank Black did a bunch of solo shit, which actually wasn't that bad and then Kim moved on to The Breeders and I guess it's financially smart for them to get together as they will find new fans and many old ones. ;)

Say them during their 'Trompe Le Monde' tour in 1995 I think? At the Graffiti, now closed, in Pittsburgh. Not a bad show, you could tell Frank and Kim didn't like each other.

pixies reunion? money is powerful!

Read an interview with Frank Black the other day and he said he'd been having nightmares that he reformed the Pixies but couldn't sing anymore and nobody came to the shows. He reckons they've been getting together in secret and just jamming for fun. man I'd love to here those sessions.
I thought David Lovering had become a magician these days. That might be a hard gig to give up.

Why would it have to be about money? Couldn't it be about how much better the world would be with Pixies?
The day they broke up, David Bowie and Brian Eno called up Frank Black to plead with him to reconsider.
