I'm trying to tween letters like on this site(http://flashtracking.com/ps...
letters like l and t are easy but letters that curve like o and p i've had trouble with. I've converted the letters to symbols and tried shape tweening them with shape hints but i cant get it to work. here is my fla (http://personal.bgsu.edu/~jimme... what is the best way to do this? could someone create an .fla and email me with an example? thanks!

i looked at the .fla you wont get the results you want using shape tweens...it sucks, but, you gotta do it frame by frame.

i did that frame by frame...oh the joy.

what do you use as reference as to know how much to add to each frame so the motion is consistent and not jumpy? how long did that take you to make?
- bug10
once you start, you get a feel for it...it didn't take as long as you prolly think, plus you'll prolly just be doing a logo or something...
heres a tip:
erase everything away frame by frame...then select all the frames in the timeline and reverse them...then it looks like there being drwan out...no mask need.

Did it a while back... when you ask a question dynamicaly writes it out

trouble with erasing and not masking is that if you try and optimise each frame the line starts to bubble

why the hell would you waste all that time to do it frame by frame?
Here is a actionscript way to do it.

hehe...
it's kind slow too.i did it frame by frame cause i don't claim to be a coder or anything...if i tried to do it with AS, i'd still be tryin...

yeah but what if you wanted to use a actual font and you didn't want it to look like handwriting?
