Kpl. You're unreal. Almost the best - but I reserve that for super-quam.
jaz - I swear you never offer an informed musical opinion.

I hope they do well, but I have to say I also loved their solo projects too...

why no mention of graffiti?
also a huge part of hip hop.
I have to agree that the majority of hip hop music out now is pretty weak with the bling bling shit, but every now and then some gems like rakim, mos def, talib qualib come out and give credibility to an art form.
there was a time when jazz wasn't considered music either.

dude let's stop arguing in circles.
it doesn't matter who made 50 cent what matters is if he is a musician or not.i'll wager that he and most Hip Hop cats out there wouldn't know a b flat from a clef when it comes to music.

If De La can do it, i guess Tribe can too. Although the newer De La stuff is a bit more commercial. Still dig it tho.

what's the difference, their style has been so copied and imitated and their beats sound all the same anyway, just pick up any other copy of funk/alternative rap like Blackalicious. It all sounds the same to me. ;)

I'm crazy for T.C.Q. It's very motivated.

haa haa lil romeo. 50 cent is a manufactured robot that they have made sound good in a studio. don't make me laugh man.

dont compare blackilicious to tribe, thats the dumbest comparision ive ever heard..
- skonge0
50 cent is the worst. why does everyone like him?

um, where is the link to tribe getting back together? love to read up on it. i doubt is its gonna happen though.
music is music. you like what you like. no need to bash others for what they consider good.
the same can be said for different styles of design. some like one thing; some like another. and still even other have their own tastes. its all relative.
the problem is when people push their perspectives on others in an attempt to "politely?" say "hey, i value your ideas BUT your __fill in blank__ sucks for these reasons.." thats unfounded.
so, for the sake of being open to others, maybe the topic needs to get back on track and discuss whether or not tribe sohuld get back together, if they truly are and to simply reminsce on the good ol days of high school garage parties, tp'ing and figuring out who had the "fresh" ride.
peace fellow music lovers.

Please people don't kid yourselves. Don't sit there and tell me that HIP-HOP is in the same category musicaly as the Beatles, or Pink Floyd or Marvin Gaye or Miles Davis or Louis Armstrong ect.
These are people that have studied and been inovators in the art form of music.
Hip-HOP is less about music and more about image.People don't flock to buy 50 cent records because of his musical talent, they buy it because of his thug image, so that these suburban wannabes can live out their gangster fantasies.
Like I said before, I love Hip Hop and when it's good, (5% of the time) it's amazing. But I love it for what it is, not because i think it's good music.

50 cent?
I would rather listen to Vanilla Ice or MC Hammer. Like I always do.
- unfittoprint0
blackilicious is also good. in a different kinda way...
- kpl0
it's the attitude.
I'd go on but there's already been threads about it and it's not like you guys are interested in hearing why.
- F_EddyShears0
yeah, thats not a very bright comparison. they got different things going on, of course one would grow from another.

don't make me get frankiebaby.
