flash help Please.

o.k i suck at flash. I know that. as a matter of fact i probably shouldnt be using it, or even getting paid for using it.
but.
i have to do this stupid fuckin flash flyer and i absolutely suck.
im trying to have a line simulate drawing....
it follows a motion guide and a mask, i know that, but i dont know *HOW* to do it.
please help.

i feel yer pain...
this is what i do:
- import yer line drawing into flash.
- ctrl+b to break it apart.
- frame by frame erase little pieces of the line till thw whole thing is gone.
- select all yer frames in the main timeline and reverse'em.
- voila. looks like it's being drawn...no mask, no tween.
but shhhhhhhhhhhh...
that's my secret technique.

thanks....ok some questions.
you didnt expect me to not have questions....LOL.
since its all vector, i was doing the line, (which is over a map....from one point to another) can i do it in flash?
and when you say select all the frames and reverse them, I'm a bit confused on that one...
sorry to be a pain.....its gonna be a long night.....
im so frustrated with this shit i dont even want to smoke.

sure, you could make the lines in flash if it looks the way you want it to...
reverse frames:
since yer doing it frame by frame you end up with a butt load of frames...highlight all those frames, which are on the main timeline, then right click(pc) and choose reverse frames.
pretty easy just time consuming.
oh, and it's hard to smoke in flash...to much technical sh*t...

o.k so lets see if i understand this:
1. draw the lines....there are i think 4 lines from one state to the next....
2. break them apart?
i think i have to paste in all of these keyframes and then slowly delete a piece one by one? is that what you were talking about?
then once i have that done highlight and reverse the frames?
this is a fuckin pain in the ass....i have a new found respect for flash designers.....man i SUCK at this.
