Gorbie takes Berlin!!!
I'll be in Berlin from September 14th - 21st. Tell me where to go. What to do. What to see. I'd love to hear all you know.
Everything!
I'd also love to hook up with anyone in the area. Let me know.
danke !

Thank you.

Gorbie,
- go see the East-Germany museum
- check out the huge parliament/EU buildings near Brandburg Gate
- Go clubbing: http://www.tresorberlin.de/
- go up the tv-tower to see the city
- blend30
For bonus points:
- go to a sausage kiosk and eat your wurst with ketchup/mayo like the berliners do.
- Gorbie0
*gehen Sie oben!
Thanks blend! I don't eat pig, though... that's my only problem.
Anyone else got ideas? Where to stay, good restaurants, clubs, museums?

Ich bin Berliner: I live in Berlin.
Ich bin ein Berliner: you can eat me, I am sweet! ;)
anyway, Berlin is a pretty amazing city, great architecture but even more unfinished buildings... it seems as 50% of B is a construction site, and don't try to get a job there, cuz you won't! City is in huge debt, and the unemployment is gigantic!
but plenty of cultural events and places tho, and enough German beer for you to try! ;)

cy is right...loys of construction and restoration going on...sepcially on the former east side where the communists let alot of the old buildings get in poor shape.
make sure you make your way to the russian war memorial on the east side...puts the one on the west just past the brandenburg gates to shame!
the reichstag right beside the gates is beautiful...tons of museums and amazing cathedrals.

stay in Prenzlauer Berg
chill at the cafes at Käthe Kollwitz Platz
take one of the trams starting near the Alexanderplatz towards the East and stay until the end of the line
go eat some apple pie at Einstein cafe
stay up late and have a drink at a bar called Obst und Gemuse in Oranienburger Strasse
visit the Neue Nationalgalerie and the Altes Museum
go sunbathing, naked if you want, in one of the many parks
shop for art/design books at Bücherbogen in Savigny Platz
eat some of the best falafel in the world

Danke! Keep the ideas coming! I got lots of research to do...
Anyone know what the weather is like around September? I've read it's kinda rainy.
(4cY - it's a famous line from a famous speach delivered by John F. Kennedy)
