Sounds good Mayo.
I ate Russian food this weekend in SF @ The Russian Bear. I also danced to some of the tackiest music I've evr heard.
I'm not a big fan of pickled herring, I'll tell you that!

Is the Russian Bear the one on Clement St.? we used to go there when we lived there.

If it ain't scottish... It's CRAP!!!

Appetizer: Jumbo prawns stuffed with Muenster cheese, wrapped in bacon and broiled.
Entree: Lamb burgers with sour cream and mushroom sause.
Side salad of garbanzo beans, radishes and scallions with a goat cheese dressing.
washed it all down with Tinkov russian beer.

Damn.
Is your dad from Russia. If so, where?

He's second generation born in the US. The family is from Georgia, right above Turkey.

mayo,
no, but now I have a taste for it. I think there's only one in Chicago. Not too many of the corporate type chains within the city. I'm surprised there's a Joe's Crab Shack actually. That place sucks.
But so many small one-off places, neighborhood bars and restaraunts. This place across from my gf has excellent calamari, a place a few streets down has buffalo wings that will blow your mind (all you can eat on Tuesday)
Did you know that in Chicago, there are so many bars you could go to a different one every night for over three years and never go to the same one twice?
Crazy

I drank Georgian vodka at the Russian Bear. My step mom says Georgians wear funny hats.
I think I'm going to eat saag paneer tonight..... again.

Chicago is my kinda town!

to make up for our lack of good bars, most of the ones here are just open 24 hours, 7 days. that helps.

Well, still a decent sized city. I thought you were going to say somewhere totally middle of nowhere.
I mean, you ARE in the biggest little city in the world...
- Gorbie0
I thought it was the littlest Big city in the world?
