I'm going back to school next year.
I'm a painter, but usually schools with good art programs are also schools with good design programs, so I thought I would see what you all know about schools.
I want a good name. I know it doesn't mean I'll be a better painter. But if I'm going to go into debt for this, I better have a good name, at least.
I'm looking at:
UCLA
CCAC
Art Center Pasadena
StanfordI like the west coast, but I would consider:
RISD
Cranbrook
Chicago Art Institute
YaleAny others to add to the list?
I know some of those accept like 1% of the applicants.. but it's worth a shot.. I should add some good-but-not-that-good schools to my list...

ive seen some of your paintings.
and not to pat your back or anything, but i remember them as being fucking nice.i think that the 1% thing might not be so rough.

I'm not gonna turn this into a joke or anything, because I too am thinking of going for an MFA within a couple years...
But I totally thought you were asking what you should change YOUR name to, like something artistic or whatever. That was a funny moment until I scrolled down a bit! :D

hehee, how about
"le o0o"
or
"o0oneuvo0o"

I have a BA in Advertising and a Minor in Architecture, I finished that in 2001 in Texas. I live in Chicago now, and I'm thinking possibly of UIC as they had some interesting stuff listed for MFA programs. I know that I'd like to teach in college someday, so it would make sense to go after a Masters in something. I don't do anything with design work wise now, I work as a receptionist at a mid sized law firm in downtown Chicago. I was really burned out on doing any design stuff at all for months, finally getting back into it a bit. it's nice.

first:
your paintings=nice.second:
do not look into Uarts philadelphia, the painting program sucks. although, the undergrad design program has its shit together,

actually I went to a post-baccalaureate program at Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art... I remember Uarts, it was just a few blocks away...
..yeah, I'm not too keen on going back to philly, nothing wrong with it, just nothing really drawing me there...
