Anyone into Curb Your Enthusiasm? My brother (in NYC) send me four episodes and I really enjoyed it. I wonder if the BBC, or maybe even a Dutch TV station will buy it soon.

I smell a conspiracy! ehehe. That is freaky!

This show is being aired on BBC Four (the 'grown' up BBC channel) but sometimes is shown on BBC2 as part of the BBC4 on BBC2 thing they do... to tempt us to get free-to-air digital TV.

Thanks. I'll keep my eye on the TV guide. I only have BBC 1 and 2 here.

HBO RENEWS HIT COMEDY SERIES CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM,
STARRING LARRY DAVID, FOR EIGHTH SEASON
LOS ANGELES, April 20, 2010 – HBO has renewed the hit comedy series CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM, starring Larry David, for a ten-episode eighth season, it was announced today by Michael Lombardo, president, Programming Group and West Coast Operations, HBO. Production of the new episodes will begin this summer in Los Angeles and New York, with debut slated for 2011.
Said Lombardo, “Larry always loves to paint himself into a corner, and after the incredibly wonderful seventh season of CURB, you have to ask, ‘How does he ever top this?’ But he always finds a way. We can’t wait to see what he does in season eight.”
“After much soul searching – and by the way, it was nowhere to be found – I have decided to do another season of CURB,” says Larry David. “I look forward to the end of shooting, when I can once again resume the hunt for my elusive soul. I know it’s here somewhere or perhaps in the rugged mountainous regions of Pakistan.”
hellllz yeah.

Why can't American networks just leave things be? Why pull something great out so far that it thins into some weak strand of its former self?
The last series barely salvaged itself after a shaky, shaky first few episodes, but nicely turned in to a suitable denouement for all the series.. but now they go and dilute things even further?
For the second time today - 'More is most definitely less'.

I love how after I've watched Curb Your Enthusiasm, and see Larry David in action, I see old Seinfeld episodes and realize that George and Jerry are basically two sides of his personality.

OMG .. series 8??!
I'm not sure if this is terrible or great. I'd only just gotten over the fact that I'd never see another episode.

I'd usually agree about networks stretching shows too far, but there were a couple of brilliant episodes in s7. If you were a network boss there's no way you could tell Larry David that it's probably time to call it a day now and forget about a new series. I can't get too angry until they fuck it up - at which point I will be.

My roommate pointed this out during season 7, and as the season progressed I completely agreed with him.. every episode Jerry Seinfeld was in kind of sucked. Most of the episodes were great though. That fucking Wendy Wheelchair episode was golden.. so funny.

They started running this in syndication in NY at 11:30, and I've seen the first few seasons on first run HBO.
Honestly, these don't have the "repeat viewing" factor that Seinfeld has for me. I think Larry is funny once, but annoying twice. To me it's improv Seinfeld, more poorly acted out. Just sayin...

Normally I'd completely agree, however in Curb it's been pretty much the same setup and joke in every single show just in different settings. So its still enjoyable even after so many series.- I like its repetitive nature .. I laugh out loud constantly when watching it.lukus_W
