truth be told im super amatuer with flash so the stuff im doing is no where near the quality i ve seen out there or on here for that matter so im not in any need of using a dual monitor as say some of the big boys do with flash.

u do ur flashwork on it??

theres been times i could have used an external monitor but no i havent, though im seriously thinking about having one at my studio for those times i need to spread out, especially in flash.

So I guess I'm going to wait till the new 15" comes out. Hopefully soon.
Shitty.

i truly, seriously doubt any of the powerbooks will get a non-g4 processor before the end of the year. the desktops will probably get the 970 soon but the 970 is not a good laptop processor yet, from all I've read.
rumors say a new 15" with aluminum will be coming out...
as for 12"... 877mhz and 640 mb max... i wouldn't do too much design on that machine if I can help it.

i am thinking of getting a 12 incher later this year, i wouldn't use it for design tasks, just for presentations, organizer, websurfing etc..
the 12 inch is tiny and thin...love it.

Bob, you do not think a new 15" will come out in June?
Anyone design on a 12"? I don't need much but I would need to hook up to a 21" or 17" monitor. Can that lil' graphics card keep up when running an external monitor too?
Whats the highest rez I can get at 75Hz on the external?
and 650 mb of memory sounds pretty shitty to me. but is it fine because of the higher bus speeds?

I would not count on an upgrade coming to the 15' for sometime. She is waiting behind the iBooks for sure.
I have an 15' TiBook, but I do not think I would buy one now, over a 12' or 17', because of the bus speed. The may have the same processor, but you will now the difference.
This all being said. If you want a 15' TiBook, the waiting game will take too long and the price is not likely to drop any further. Get it.

I want to get a 15" 1GHz
But is it a smart time to buy one now? Im thinking I should wait till June. Do you think apple will release a new processor then. And if so will it be available for the laptops?
