here's the scenario: user clicks on banner. Banner opens new browser window. New Browser window opens full screen window with Javascript.
Then I want to close the launcher page when it loses focus. How can I do this without the confirmation dialogue box coming up? I've tried:
LaunchPage:
self.close()
onBlur="self.close()"Fullscreen page:
onLoad="window.opener.close()"but they all ask for confirmation to close the window. Can I close the window without the user's confirmation? Keep in mind, I've heard all the gripes about fullscreen, and I'm not looking for opinions on that. I just need to know if this can be done....Any help is much appreciated

"Can I close the window without the user's confirmation?"
not if it's a parent window

correct me if I'm wrong, only if the same script opened the window in the first place?!

that's a lot of window manipulation though... is it really necessary?

example:
[] <--window 1
[] <--window 2
[] <--window 3
window1 opens window2
window2 opens window3window2 cannot close window1
window3 can close window2have fun!
