OS X Problem??

I have a problem.
I am freelancing for a company in London and basically for the first few weeks I was having no problem. Now, however, when I connect to their server, I cannot read files ie quaek files, AI files and PSD files. If someone emails the same file to me it works - in which case I think that I have a problem with the server and my OS X mac talking to each other.
I am using a G4 titanium 867 mhz 512 RAM.
I have done the disk doctor privileges thing and I have ran Norton on it AND anti virus and everything seems to be in order so now I am stumped!
Any answers would be quality

what opporating version are you on. Hopefully its Jaguar as before that there was the odd clich on PC networked servers. But if you have Jaguar all should be sweetness and light in Rendevous in Jaguar.
