(apr 26 03)Damn right! As someone said, better to learn HTML (DW won't help at all). Notepad is the way. And once you get used to it is almost as fast as working with DW.

ultraedit is my weapon of choice.

I personally like using Dreamweaver ultradev. I don't rely on the buttons though.
sometimes it puts things in the wrong place. for example, background-images / background-colors in the tr tags.
All programs work fine if you know your html. that and cross platform issues, browser compatabilities, screen sizes, etc...dreamweaver can never teach you that.

U realize that ultradev has been replaced with dreamweaver MX? All the ultra-functionality is now standard with MX.
ANyone ever used the dynamic content/database connectivity functionality of MX? I saw it at a macromedia lecture once and it was pretty cool.
