Hello,
I need to make some dinner tonight. I'm all out of ideas, though. Tell me what to make for dinner.
Must feed two. No creatures with legs. Anything and everything else will be considered.
Thank you for your cooperation,

Pizza (but a good one, not Pizza Hut or crap like that). A good italian pizza never lets you down... :D Pasta in general would be my choice if someone came to dinner. Pasta and a good Chianti...
- TransFatty0
soy tacos
- Gorbie0
I've kinda exhausted the pizza thing. Though I do make a mean one. Pasta, maybe (got some chianti)
Anyone know of any good indian recipes? Most pages I've seen are really, really bad.

Have you made soy tacos Patricko?
Did you use plain tofu and spice it up, or something pre-made?

Gorbie, whatchoo wanna learn? I am the master curry maker. Chicken curry good enough or do you prefer no meat?
- Gorbie0
No meat (land creatures). Fish is good. veggies are good.
I have most of the basic spices.
Teach me the way of the curry.

I've never made fish curry. Do you like Spinach? If yes, then I will unleash the recipe. Waiting for your signal...

Saag it to me!

How about vegetable curry, serving with some nice fish filet and some red rice.
Hmm...I'm hungry...

Ingredients:
-Spinach (canned or fresh, I prefer canned cuz its less work)
-Garlic (powdered or minced or even fresh, i prefer minced)
-Ginger (powdered or fresh. of course i prefer powdered)
-Salt (to taste)
-Onion - 1 (yellow or white - medium sized)
-Tomato (canned or fresh. i prefer... yes you got it canned. but i prefer tomato paste even more)
- Cumin Seed powder (if available)
- 2 Jalapeno peppers
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt
- 2 teaspoons "Garam Masala" - an important ingerdient in most indian dishesI think thats it for the ingredients. Recipe to follow.
- lifeinsodium0
Sautee the chopped onions in a sauce pan (with oil or butter - your choice. butter will be creamier) until golden brown. Then add the 2 tablespoons of the minced garlic. add salt (to taste) and then add the 2 teaspons or ginger.
sautee this for a couple of minutes and then add spinach. fry the spinach for a few minutes and then add the yogurt. Then add 1 table spoon of tomato paste as well.
let this on medium heat and stir frequently. also add the other ingredients which were options like the cumin seed powder (1 table spoon) and Garam Masala (1 tablesoon). keep stirring.
now it is upto you if you want the curry to be super creamy tor if you want it to be thin. more to follow...
- lifeinsodium0
to have a less creamy curry you can add a glass and a half of water. and continue stirring frequently. for a thick curry you need not add anything.
the curry will be done when you see that oil and the curry have complete seperated. i say in about 30 mins.
search with white rice or you can use pita bread as well.
any questions?

Rock-On Mr. Saf!!!!!!
I'm going to make this one tomorrow, though. (my girlfriend wants soup and a baked patato cause she's boring)
But definately tomorrow night. I'll let you know how it goes.
Thanks!!!

hmm...how about curry powder?
Saf The Chef™
- lifeinsodium0
haha. yes ok_static, curry powder is an option but it doesnt beat the curry when made with all the individual ingredients.
your welcome Brobie, let me know how it goes.
- ok_static0
yeah saf, nothing's can beat curry, when you can put either meat or fish or vegetable and serving rice or pita or bread or spaghetti... anything...
curry rules!

Gorbie, you have always been on my side, so eat well and prosper

Made it last night, Saf...
Tasty. Though, I'll probably do a lot better next time (I kicked it up a few too many notches). I used all fresh ingredients, so I was kinda scrambling around the kitchen. But it turned out good.
If anyone of you have any more, me and ma' belly would be grateful.
Peas,
