Hey gals and pals!
What/how do you do when you want to test your flash preloader animations? Usually I just import a 2mb picture into the .fla but I bet there's an easier/better way to do it. If so, please let me know.(I havn't been working in flash for quite a while, and I've forgotten most of the things I read in tutorials...)
Thank you.

in the flash player, there is a debug option (up top) where you can set the "bandwidth." not sure how accurate it is though.

yeah, yeah. I've been sniffing around that part but never had the energy to use i t properly.
It doen't have to be that accurate, all I need is to slow down the loading process just enough to see the animation.
Maybe I should just do my homework :P

If it'ss all in the one fla you can select control>test movie and choose 'show streaming' (from view I think). If you're loading external swf's then upload to a webserver is prob your best bet.

choose your bandwidth you want to test at and then hit crtl+return or apple+return and then it will show you the bandwidth things..
its good, but if you have a movie under 4-5k it won't show the preloader properly.
But over that and its fine
