can anyone help on this? I have a page that has english on it. neslted in it are 2 i-frames one has an html that iin english the other has japanese. Somehow i can't get the japanese to display automatically. i have tried setting everything to Japanese character encoding, just the one html with japanese character encoding, tried all kind of combos, nothing seems to make it show up in japanese.

(If i click inside the i-frame and then change the encoding in Explorer to Japanese it displays fine, so at least something is done reight...)

Any ideas? Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know much about this but from what I've seen this stuff is VERY platform and browser dependent...

i.e if I paste Russian characters (Cyrillic?) into Babelfish in Explorer 5 (MacOSX) I get gibberish back...but it works in Netscape 7(MacOSX), giving me an English translation... Which is good for catching those pesky Russian sites that republish our content....
