Okay.
I want to know your favorite artists.
The man or woman that tickles your brain bone the mostest. The person from which you draw tremendous inspiration from. Or the person who frustrates and/or angers you.
I want this thread to be a great resource.
So post up.
I don't care whether it is visual art, design, poetry, prose, literature, architecture, culinary, craft, performance, dance, musical, or any of those beautifully gray areas between.
Just post. URL's aren't required.
Mainstream, underground, obscure, experimental, any damn thang.
To the big-headed guy in the front row with his hand raised... Don't over-complicate this! Just post someone you dig. You don't even have to explain.
And don't knock anyone elses favorites. cause thats lame.

basquait
http://www.faculty.de.gcsu.edu/~…
the most influential stories of a rise and fall of a great artist... warhol got much inspiration from him... his movie, basquait is an incredible insight into his mind and style of painting which was on the verge of worldwide recognition, and how his premature death iconized his graffiti style for generations.
