did u try to put noresize on every single frame property? so it's like .. FRAME name=top
src="abc.html" frameBorder=no noResize scrolling=no> ... then for the middle and bottom frame, also put the same thing ... try it .. might work ..

tried the noresize.
i is using dreamweaver.
thanks for the help all, i'm can't use frames on this one now that i think about.what i was trying to do is to use frames to update 2 sections of content in the middle of the page without reloading the entire page with no scroll bars. my problem is that the site was designed larger than 400 px in height. so its all messed up in a 800x600 screen or smaller screen.
back to the drawing board, though any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I see no reason to not use iframes.
Unless I am mistaken, iframes are supported my all browers back to IE 4.0 and Netscape 4. Unless someone is running Windows 95 it should be fine.

How 'bout loading a 2nd (nested) frameset in the middle or using javascript to update both frames on click?
