This is so weird.
I look on my Buddylist and I see my sister is online. So, I IM her, but it turns out to be my neice who just turned 10. Apperently she's taken over my sister's AOL account. She has a profile and everything. It was so weird, talking to my neice online. She thinks shes a techie now. I remember when she was born like yesterday.
She says she wants me to help her make a webpage.
uuuuuuugh! In 15 years she'llprobably be my boss

my mom calls instant messaging "emailing".
So sometimes i'll forget what shes talking about. when she says "I'll email you about ____ in a few minutes"
so i'll be checking me email but will have instant messenger off.
MOM its not emailing.

my nephew is ten, anytime he goes over to my parents house, he takes over the computer, installs software, downloads music, changes account permissions.. it's ridiculous.
+ he's into making things with Powerpoint, sound etc. he's basically doing what i do but on a way smaller level, strange tho.

i am almost the only one in the family wjo really knows most in and outs of computers...
so no bothering family members here. :)
but i noticed I got about 40 or so buddies on my list... i wonder if MSN has a maximum for it.

it' weird because my sister is 13 years older than me. and I am 10 years older than my neice. so we're all sort of the same amount of years apart. When i was her age, i suppose i started dabbling in the same things. I discovered messageboards when i was 12.
my sister is so not with it though. they barely got a decent computer because the kids need it more and more for school. she's not very interesting in technology. Its funny to see how my neice is turning out just like me.
she used to listen to teenie bopper music, too. but she asked me for her birthday to get her pete yorn and travis RECORDS (not cds). a step in the right direction, yay!

Old people these days, I tell ya!
My mom, who hardly knows the difference between word and windows, once asked me to teach her how to do a website.
"It can't take that long, can it?". At the time I was working as a webdesigner, making more money than her.

parents have no respect. i have my pc at my parents house while I'm working on a project in Miami. it's now become the damb public toilet. i now have AOL, IM, Free Cell wizard, freakin gator!!!(oh, it's gone now), and countless other crap.
my little brother was on computers 10 years before i ever got started. he builds my computers for me.
