i bet most of you have the same problem. sitting all day causes a stiff neck for me and it really hurts.
is there something i can do to make this better?
i have perfect posture so that's not it.

even if you have "perfect posture" get a lumber support for the back of the chair and getting up to walk around once in awhile doesn't hurt either.

slant your chair forward and put five or six phonebooks under your monitor.

someone I know who worked at Mill Film said they had masseurs come round to the studio - how cool is that.
( I dont think it was that lady 'gemini' I keep seeing advertised in the phone booths tho heheh)

Buy this chair:
http://www.hermanmiller.com/CDA/…If you are a smoker, smoke outside the office. Or if you don't smoke. Take a few minutes break every hour.

i'm a smoker and that doesn't help

Hmm it used to help for me. (Used to smoke. Read magazines instead now ehe)
The chair and a large desk also helped.
Oh and change your setup once a month. Changing the way you sit once in a while is very good for you.

i just quit smoking... but i started working ou a few times a week so i thought that would improve my situation. i should go get a lumbar support pillow thing to attach to my chair.. though i do have a pretty good chair.

I just gave up smoking too, smoked for 16 years straight, a pack a day, and i feel great now, my rsi still hurts though ; (, its my posture, i slouch in the chair, cant help it, might buy a chair that i slip off if i slouch, might help

Shelly and sexypixel. I always buy chairs that can swivel backwards. I have Eames Alu series chairs at home. The Aeron is my favorite chair for work, because you can move in all directions with it.
It also has a block in your back that can be changed so you don't sit in the same position all the time.
Just move as much as possible.
