Please read this first:
http://www.aaronclinger.com/Just…Ok here are my thoughts:
#1. Pass. Bush has been given authority by congress
#2. Iffy. Bush has said Saddam must disarm. But he has also spoken of regime change--Saddam must go. If he disarms, can he stay? If he leaves can Iraq keep its weapons? I think it is clear now so I guess it passes.
#3. Fail. Many nations suggested alternatives. I do not think we tried EVERYTHING. I think we lost patience. France in being absolute in the other direction didn't help diplomacy either.
#4. Probably pass, but if Baghdad becomes a blood bath with high civilian casualties . . .
#5. Pass
#6. Pass
#7. I have my doubts. If the Middle east destabilizes with Turkey's ambitions in the north to contain the Kurds, if Israel gets pulled in, if any one of a number of things happens that are legitimate concerns we fail proportionality. Will this contribute to greater motivation of terrorists and greater hatred of US.
If all criteria are not met, it is unjust. We fail on at least #3, possible #7, and so it fails. This is why the pope has labelled participatiion in this war sin.

why should anyone care what the pope has to say about secular things?
- Epictive0
I am not catholic, but I just though many don’t know of the Just War Theory, what the requirements are, and why the pope doesn't support the war. I do support the Just War Theory along with most religious leaders, groups, branches etc...

The real question here is: what does "dopepope" think of it?
- JazX0
Epictive, I really like you dude, but I think the Pope is a complete out-of-touch fool. Same goes for the Catholic Church in general, probably the biggest criminal insitution of all time.

JazX ?? WTF???
- JazX0
WTF, what you mean bro? I am joshing around. ;)

"Same goes for the Catholic Church in general, probably the biggest criminal insitution of all time"
keep generalisations like that to yourself fool.
- JazX0
I don't have to, there are many facts to back that one up. Just open the book on the Catholic Church.
- JazX0
just my opinion anyway, so don't give me shit about it yo.
- unknown0
There are some bad apples in the catholic church as there are in any large organisation / race / country / religion. However, generalising like that is fucking ignorant and serves no purpose other than to breed more ignorance.
- JazX0
not at all, the Pope was brought up so I blasted him as he should be and the Vatican for their ignorance throughout the years to those that they have neglected yet say they loved and yes it's not only them, but we were talking about the Pope, the same can be said about a lot of organizations your DEAD on dude.
- JazX0
PS it's not ignorant I have witnessed it first-hand in 3rd World/Developing countries. Specifically Angola and Mocambique where the Catholic churches do nothing to help them, yet claim to do so much. I know man I used to be a Catholic.

"the Pope is a complete out-of-touch fool. Same goes for the Catholic Church in general"
I am catholic and living in catholic Ireland - your generalisation includes me and my neighbours and friends - so fuck you.
- JazX0
Don't even get me started on the sickos that run the churches in USA both Protestant and Catholic. What's the number at for the priests who have been molesting kids? 50 and counting.... :(
- JazX0
sure it does, sorry, that's my opinion mate.
- JazX0
you can wipe me off of your design team if you like too, I could care less really.
- unknown0
hmmm - your project on stereotypes should be interesting.
