O.K. Here's my question. I have a logo that use as a personal identity, and for freelancing. Should I use this on my resume, or no? same with my printed portfolio should I have it in that design as well?
Is this something that would be "frowned upon" or not?
Any thoughts on this would be very helpful!

I'm taking my last class before I graduate called art seminar. The main objective of the class is to have a great resume written. Included on our resume is our logo. So, I would say yes, it's part of your identity.

absolutely dude. Put your resume on your own designed letterhead. If it's professionally done then this will by far set you apart from all the plain resumes out there. Many design firms won't even look at a resume if it's not on the designers own personal letterhead.
Go for it!

It depends on how much attention it draws, I read on Commarts that Art Directors and the like think that it is pretencious of students or cats with not alot of experience to put these grand logos on thier resume, so if it small i'd say go with it if it's wild naw cause you want the attention on the resume as a hwhole and more importantly the info it contains...it's tricky cause as designers you'd figure that they'd be looking for a resume that's more "designed".

my sister used to work there a long time ago. she still lives in moscow.
it's a nice place, but man, it's small... (even when you put it together witn pullman) I dunno if I could live there, but I like to visit.

Personally I would say if you have some experience and a bit of work to show then having your personal identity on your resume is fine.
But if your young and new attempting to get your foot in the door, I'd say no.

It can really go either way, mostly it's a personal decision and whether or not it's appropriate for to the people that are receiving the resume.
another really good rule of thumb for needless addons is: when in doubt leave it out.

I look at a lot of resumes, and I must say, if I get a plain Word document in "standard" resume style, I just close it without looking at it. It's all about selling yourself, and when my boss asks me who I think is most qualified for the job, I go with the person that grabbed my attention, and made me want to see more.
Logos are great, but only of they have a real place in the resume. A well designed resume with no logo can be just as good.
Don't be afraid to design your resume. And if your logo is a part of your identity, include it.

I would say no

Why would you say no?
