I see so many designers selling t-shirts. My question is. Do you really make any money selling them? And if so how much average?
I know. I know. It's a personal question, but I'm really wondering if it's really big business since everyone seems to be in it.

my advice: silkscreen yourself and/or really handcraft it (which i love and am a sucker for). a good way to break even is to find a cheap place that you can buy tshirts for a low wholesale rate. american apparel makes super nice (sweatshop free) quality. if your point is to make money, then go ahead and find a company to silkscreen a huge quantity.. i like the personal ones though.

I think I'll do that halfnoise. Thanks for the advice. I'm not going to start another t-shirt site though. I'll try to come up with my own merchandise ideas.
