How do I do it?
- monkeyme0
Ok...more specifically. I know how to do this on OS 9. Now I'm trying to use my Tibook in my office and have others able to connect to my computer and me theirs. Others can connect as a guest and drop stuff in a drop box but as a registered user it requires a password and I can't figure out how to set it. AND how do I connect to their computer???
HELP!

I like to know this to.

OK. Well, I did figure out that to have others access your computer you have to create a new user in system preferences. I still don't know how to access their computers. I hate computers. :(

"Connect to Server" under the "Go" menu doesn't let you? It takes you to the connect to server box, ask you which person you want to mount (hehehe) and then just connect as guest.

How about getting on line on a pc LAN with osx?
is that possible?

what is a PC LAN exactly?
I thought you just had a LAN with Windows and Mac and whatever clients on it....or are there different types?
You should setup a user on OSX for anyone who regularly accesses it...or a shared User for a group of people... or just have them login as you! (It's up to you)...
You probably should have Personal Web Sharing and Windows File Sharing switched on...
