Pretty cool show, sometimes I think about getting away from this keyboard, mouse, desk chair and computer screen and doing somthing like working with my hands making stuff. My favorite vehicle is the Mini/Snowmobile. http://dsc.discovery.com/fansiteā¦
My dad had a midlife crisis couple years back and bought a couple Harleys. He even took his fascination of Harleys to a new level when he went all the way down to Long Beach to meet Jesse James in person (come on dad, let it go!). Jesse has a pretty cool job though, cool site too www.westcoastchoppers.com

That show is wicked. It's my highschool shop class all over again.
I love the Eddie Baurer Edition Garbage Truck.

dude, that is a kickass show to say the least. that nut shaker was cool as hell. so was the firetruck. it was ashame that the hearse didnt work out in one of his episodes. i wouldnt have minded partying on the school bus pontoon boat.
but i agree, in fact, i was thinking a lot about that last night...that work looks alot more enjoyable than what we do. it really takes creativity with machinery, physics, design, and ingenuity. plus its more badass to weld a few iron slabs together than to emboss a shape in photoshop.

dude, you should read the "is this as good as it gets?"-thread and do something about it!

the best was when they turned the mustang into the lawn mower. the hispanic guy at the end in his tractor takes off mowing the long patch of sod. jessie gives him like a 30 second head start. the camera zooms in on the hispanic guys face smiling. then jessie takes off and blows past the guy to win doing like 60 while mowing.
the camera then shows another closeup of the guy on the tractor and he has this look of "holy shit" as jessie zips past him.
hillarious.

They did something useful with a Mini Cooper, turned it to a Snowmobile.

I remeber when these kats first came to long beach. I did mad research to find out who "west coast choppers" were cause I worked right across the street from them.
Then I was watching a documentry on these guys one day that made me feel bad for them. At the time, I wanted to give them a call just to donate a website to them. I never did. Their website at the time sucked and they were having a hard time making payroll.
I am glad these kats made it big. Pretty cool people. I run into them all the time around long beach. Not to mention that their logo is becoming very popular around here these days.
I agree. That stuff looks like a shit load of fun. I would rather do what I do any day though.
Congrats to the WCC team.

much props to Jesse and the west coast choppers.
while hes a little loud and (just like on tv), i totally respect him as an artist.
he moved out of my building not too long after MM2 aired. can't say i miss the constant motorcycle noise :)
