saw him last night in minneapolis. that guy is the shit. Does anyone have his new album? I got most of his other stuff and was just curious as to how the new one compares. I would have to say his last album blew my mind...but 'kakuse' was pretty boring.

Funny strange, i found his stuff after "Kakusei" is boring...
Especially "Zen", you got to believe if you listen his stuff from day 1 via Shadow Records and Mo'Wax...
Those were the days...

really? i really liked zen. i also really like meiso. i used like three loops off that cd for my old website, and whenever people emailed me it was never about how they liked the site, or how they thought my portfolio was good. it was always 'what is that music on your site?'
haha, oh well.

Get "Strictly Turntablized" off Kazzzza or whatever...or if you are lucky enough to buy one.
It's his first LP off Mo'Wax.

what year did that come out?
he's been making music forever. it's crazy that he is 40 and still looks like he's 25.

just saw that as you were responding :).
i never even thought of kazza to get his music. the problem is you got to find each and every song on the disc and then download them. i've tried that with squarepusher and it just ended up to be a big 'mega-mix' 'cause i couldn't get all of the songs.
i'll give it a try though. thanks

i saw the show. pretty awesome. sound sculpture.

I agree, his earlier stuff has that grittier, homemade hip-hop feel to it. I feel the same way about DJ Shadow's stuff, too. In my opinion, it has to do with lower budgets and limited recording resources that force the soul out.

Well said d_ummachine!

yeah, totally, the earlier the better, and I really liked the album with Kondo Toshinori the japanese trumpet player. Had a really nice cover of "Sun is Shining", pitty some cunt nicked my copy from my old job!

that album with kondo is one of my favorites as well. great music to listen to when your at work.

Hmm...it's a secret...and would you believe me if telling you that i use QuickTime Pro to edit the tracks?
One more tune.
