To anyone who lives in London or has been there recently:
I'm leaving for London tomorrow, and planning on taking a decent number of pictures while I'm there. I was gonna bring an 80GB external USB drive, but it crapped out on me last night, so... I'm wondering if the typical internet cafe in London has machines where I can plug in a USB cardreader, download my pics, and burn them to CD. Basically, I need to find one that has boxes running XP, access to a USB port, and a CD burner.
Any help/advice would be appreciated :)

I did that in the centre once, cant remember where but it was expensive... maybe a london nter might help you out when they wake up.
Love your plush work btw

Well, I'll just say that if there's any kind soul in London who might be willing to transfer some pictures for me, I'd glady trade use of your laptop/desktop for free alcohol or possibly even... money.
Assuming I can't find a cafe that will let me do it.
So anyone who might be down for this sort of thing, shoot me an e-mail and your mobile # and maybe we can work something out if it's convenient for you.
Many thanks.

hey man,
you'd be real lucky to find that sort of support over here! aviod easynet cafe's like the plague - your best bet is to find a smaller one that might have that kind of shiz. Maybe try emailing and asking one of these:

Alternatively, I'd be happy to help you out - so I'll drop you an email.

Thanks for the heads up (and check your mail).
I guess maybe I could try to find a computer shop somewhere and see if I can convince the people there to let me borrow one of their display models for 5 minutes :)
Heh.
Note to self: buy laptop soon.

Cyberia seem to be the best for that stuff..you can connect thru ethernet with your own laptop etc...
