how do you create icon graphics?
is there a special program or is everyone just zooming in reeeeally close on photoshop?
ive tried the latter...and i just can't seem to get the dazzling effects the k10k boys produce.
on cuban council they have pictures of an icon from far..and an icon zoomed in really close but it looks like its on some kind of grid. anyone know if this is a program/what its called?
thanks!

Zoom to 1600%.
Seriously, pixel by pixel.

yep, zoom in like mad or use an icon editor - there are many out there. iconfactory.com has a great tool for making icons as well giving you the ability to save out mac and windows icon formats directly from photoshop. it's called iconbuilder. well worth the money in my opinion.

there is Microangelo 5.56
Try it is the best I think

it depends on the look you're going for... some can be done pixel by pixel... well all CAN, but it's easier to use other tools.
vector programmes are good for icons that are going to be used in different sizes, especally the new 32bit icons in OSX and XP which can have alpha channels.
(XP icon style guides recommend using a vector prog to create the icons, then Ctrl+V into photoshop.)3D apps can be useful, so can pixel by pixel... depends what you want to do...
what is it on K10K that you're not able to achieve?
