im running php 4.0.3 as an isapi module on iis4 (ithink - its the one that came with winxp) and i cant seem to pass variables from one script to another by attaching them to the end of the url ie (blah.php?var=$var_name)
is there something i have to change in a config file like php.ini to enable this option?
thanks for ya help!

it's my understanding that register globals isn't very secure.
You should keep it off and access your variables via their scope:
$HTTP_GET_VARS
$HTTP_POST_VARSalthough, i'm not too sure on how well that works on 4.01.

i thought win xp came with IIS 5.0? at least that's the case with mine.

in the next go round of php register_globals will be no more... so get used to the latter
