"In fact, Apple Cinema Displays were chosen by ICS, Inc., for their Remote Director 2.0 system, which is the first display based soft proofing system to be SWOP certified. The prestigious SWOP certification means you can use the system to approve press production jobs onscreen without the need for hard-copy proofs."
The first and only monitor to be SWOP cerified, This changes everthing.
That is why we Love Apple!!

I droped $4500 on a Barco monitor because it was the best of the best. and it's only 21" and Big and Heavy and Ugly.
I thinks it time to switch.

at the print shop where i work we have all 22" Cinema Displays. I can sit in front of one of those for hours and not get a headache or strain my eyes.

Do you feel that your monitors are really close to your press or proofs?
I'm a retoucher and that is something we are alway fighting with, match whats on screen to what prints out.
