i've been trying to take photos in clubs and need some advice.
i want to do it without a flash, as that only really allows one photo before people get pissed off at the camera. i've tried 3200 film, but that only gives 3 more stops than 400, which still means i have to use flash (or rely on a lucky strobe).
has anyone ever used IR in a club (with a film camera)? or have any links to info on IR flashes? I'd prefer an actual IR flash to a flash filter as that still gives a noticeable light flash.
anyone know anything about this or got another suggestion other than IR?

I'd say get a video cam with night vision and get it over with... cause if you want club picks your going to need light of some kind.

When people get pissed at you for taking pic's, make sure you flip them off when you take the pic. So they know your actualy working.
Tell them you dont take the fries and burgers out of there hand when they work.
Damn people with there camera shyness.

Use a high speed digital camera with the flash turned off and you'll have less exposure problems and probably get better results anyway.

Ask the "lights guy" to strobe for you when you give him the "hey I'm ready to take a photograph" secret hand motion.

ive done stuff in nightclubs with my old SLR, and basically used 400 ASA film and slowed down the shutter speed between 2-5 seconds. gotta watch the the old nervous system tho', can lead to some blurred shots.
just churn through film and remember your settings.
good luck!
