Anyone have experience with Virtual PC? I'm starting a project that will probably require it and want to know more about it.
Also, where's a good / cheap place to get it?
thanks

have you noticed that that's a Virtual PC program for the Mac, but there isn't a Virtual Mac program for the PC?
there's a reason for that.

VMware ( http://www.vmware.com ), The best solution for Multiplatform x86 testing.
VirtualPC ( http://www.connectix.com/product… ), I believe in the only option for MAC's.

You can get a Virtual Mac program for PC.
Virtual PC lets you install any version of Windows from XP,2000, ME, 98, DOS etc.. (all at the same time)
It's getting faster all the time, but still just OK for testing how sites look in different systems...You can also get Virtual PC for Windows (to run multiple OS's simultaenously)

lament : there are many Mac emulator on Pc, open your eyes.
and yep, VMWARE is the best for virtual machine emulation.
i'd rather run it on linux for best results, but i'm sure 2000 can do the trick ;)

If your running OS X pony up the dough for Virtual PC 6. Anything before that will be so unbearably slow you will want to kill yourself. VPC 6 actually runs well.
Or use OS 9.

Thanks folks!
I have no choice in the matter because I'm taking on a project that is web based and structured around IE6.. I tried making it work on my OS9 Mac with IE 5.16 and most everything worked except for a few discussion functions.
any other suggetions??
