Nice, I like your art deco style i think the logo's cool. I think the menu should roll out when you go over it rather than dragging it. It was slow and i'm using a T1 connection. I agree about the background, but I think a jazzy tile would look nice with your site rather than a solid colour. And it'd be nice centred.

Better. I like the second level nav. Very clean and fast.
However I have big beef with your main nav.
1. Why make me drag it out? I see no reason for it there is alot of room on your site.(at least pop it out for me when it loads then let me hide it.) It looks like a mistake.2. Why when I click on a new section it load the whole page? You are using flash right? load movieclips or something.
Other than that. Nice site.

You're right, err. I initially wanted to have the menu roll out when rolled over, but I couldn't figure out how to script it and opted for the drag because of time constraints. Maybe I'll update it when I can figure out the script, and add a bg color like the others are suggesting. Thanks for all comments.

in my opinion: ditch the overbearing interface and clunky nav. go minimal and show those paintings off, they're too good to waste all that screen space on other things.
