I remember Gunshot, "Battle Creek Brawl" and "Crime Story". There's a great old 12 from the 80's called "Serve Tea then Murder" by Hardnoise which has a huge long scratch near the end that is mint.
I think the best known UK rapper from the 80s in the US was probably, and it pains me to say it, Derek B because one of his tunes, "Get Down" I think, formed the basis of a tune that was monolithic in Miami. Some thing to do with shaking your ass /booty I would imagine.
