before this job, i: wouldnt turn on heater. i drank milwaulkees best, i ate knock off ramen noodles, water, low grade toilet paper, 28.8k, 3 roommates, warehouse dockworker. minimum wage all the while designing after a 12 hour work day. no pity though, because it fucking paid off.
i love my life now. i can afford beer and green. i eat the expensive ramen noodles now too mothafukkahs. ha haaaaaah.
no. seriously i still do. that is so funny because i still cant get it thru my head that i can afford to get what i want. i still get ramen and 99cent hotdog packages. i get cheap food without realizing that i can get whatever the fuck i want.
i will NEVER forget how hard it was to get here. i will NEVER take for granted that my belly was empty for years at a time. i will NEVER forget that my family all chipped in to buy me my first computer. mom, dad... i love you and thanks wherever you are.
*sigh* life is good at a great expense.

well i used to think that playing basketball would get me into college and in college i would get some degrees and a teaching credential and live a happy satisfying life....
well i am a senior in HS and i got cut....(pretty wack) I got cut because of a lot of reasons but its all good...
Now i have to work my ass off you know to get to the next level...
its like the basketball coach was the person that was gonna get me there you know? now I gotta hustle to get to where i wanna be...
Workin out on my own, stayin on top of shit in class...and basically do the shit by myself...
i guess it will feel better if or when I do make it to where I wanna be on my own...I will know that I am capable of it.

My story is a bit different, as I didnt goto college. I know how Biofreak feels with being so poor that ramen noodles made me keep going for months at a time. I had two complete drunk roommates. I still remember eeking out a living doing tech suport at an ISP and working on freelance projects at night while my drunk roommates would party til all of hours of the night. Then I moved out of there. Got a one room studio in a ghetto ass neighborhood. Stayed there for one year. Started picking up more and more freelance gigs. Got a fulltime job at a magazine/newspaper publisher and continue to do freelance after hours. Moved out of the dumpy studio into a nice apartment in downtown milwaukee.
Next step is buying a home. Im not saying Im some big success story, but I have come along way.
