I honestly wasn't upset...just not understanding why ya said the style thing....then I realized it was for the henry street...before replied about that...
I am coming out with an html version....probably in a couple of days.... and we are working on loadmovie.... needed to get this site up in a hurry....
what fonts you got?
- unknown0
some good ones, I'll E-mail you them they work perfectly, I'd rather not mention here. Later

i just dont see anything appealing about the site. sure the font issue has been discussed and pointed out. but, even after that's fixed i still dont think it would make it that much more apppealing.
oh well just my 2 cents and throw in a couple more for all the web101 teachers out there, word to yo mutha mumfuca.

some of this may already have been suggested, but i didn't read the replies...
clean up the text. it's all too fuzy. looks very bad.
why is the submenu totally different than the main menu and dragable? totally unnecessary. especially when the current box disappears when you load a new section. the only reason to have them drag is if the boxes stayed even when a new menu is loaded. make the submenu similar to the main menu... the height and width of the boxes etc.
why do the subsections load in a pop-up, when you have all the space in the flash file to work with? minimize the news section and little boxes on the bottom and load the content in one big box there.
if it is a professional company site lose the icons at the bottom. it will confuse the clients and send them off to other sites that mean nothing to them. why do that?
you have 3 different typefaces on the site. the typeface in the logo, menu, and the black box on the right, which i like by the way, but ditch one of them somewhere.
you said something about maximizing loading. do that. don't load all those section images in the beginning, just load 1 or 2 (like the portfolio and home section... where ppl will be immediately and probably go first), and then load the rest in the background. it was a huge load on a dial up for me. took almost 5 minutes.
most of all its the submenu that bothers me. it is really out of place.

you get those mate?

it may be easier to load the entire site except for the images in the upper right, b/c i'm assuming that is the bulk of your download. so get the menu, news, and little sections at the bottom loaded first so the user has something to look at while the images are loading.

I see that I missed all the really good arguments and hurried forgivings.
I like the site - it didn't make my sphincter prolapse on the spot, but the layout is nice, businesslike and pleasing to my eyes.
Your current problem with the pixelfonts is really ruining all the other work you've put in on this one though.
One thing - the tooltips on your "respect" linkbar down bottom pleased me somehow. I sat and moved my mouse around it for some time. Probably something to do with the earliness in the morning round here.
My site is in my profile.
Peace,
