The kids nowadays seem quick to put themselves into groups.. emo kids, punks, self-confessed preps, geeks, etc.
When I was a kid it just wasn't like that, you were either seen as generally cool or uncool.
What do the younger designers here consider themselves as? Emo? Punk? Sk8ers? Just interested, or do designers tend to think of themselves as being their own social group?
*pretentious crap over*

We're groovy baby, yeah.
But seriously, people are people. I see myself as a person and really nothing else. I make websites, I listen to gothic/hard rock music, I play video games, and I paint. I don't know what I'd be classified as other than a female geek with a PS2 obsession. :D

mmm...good point, but I think that is more of a younger teen thing to shift yourself into a group to find acceptance. I was in the uncool group... then during college there really was no cool or uncool cause no one cared.
Anyway, I listen to metal and I have no idea what group I'm in. Unless you're 12-18 I'm not sure the group thing applies too much ^_^
