I just finished this site, was just wondering what ya thought a-boot it.
It has client editable content and took me a real long time to finish.
Infact check out the product, there is some beautiful African sculptures in a variety of price ranges.
Your thoughts.

i like your rollover effects

Thanks Bennn
However I’m not sure if that is a complement or a diss?
No opinion on the rest of it.
Anyone else?

why the blue in the layout? with that orange stripe?
client wanted it?

at first I was like ugg. but then I went inside and it didn't suck ass!

looks ok, but why did you do it in flash?
- unknown0
I was kidding by the way. Here what I think though. That inro photo has to go. It's horrible. That would hook that whole thing up. Cuz the next screen ain't bad. The animations could be faster.

The blue was actually my choice,
Did it in flash for the look, and lib that was funny.

flash sites shouldn't have any vertical scroll bars.
- propa0
why not?

whoa, that first page looks awful... well, not truely awful, but worse than all the other pages, which are quite nice... but the home page... I dunno, looks like.. flash. in a bad way, like the kinda stuff you make in a tutorial on how to use flash... you know? with the race cars? and the brown?
i think different fonts(sizes?) wouldmake a world of difference.
the splash page is kinda cheesy too.... and that brown background behnd the site set me up for something other than the site you presented me.. i was expecting oranges, yellows, earth tones, instead i get stark white and corporate blue... maybe you could tweak that BG colour a bit... dark red would work better.

why the full-screen stretch, that honestly has to be the most annoying affect that anyone can use.
I know that if I see fullscreen stretches in the K10k drop box I close them IMMEDIATELY and sometimes delete them.
it's not design, it's like abusing filters in photoshop, trying to over-compensate for something else that's lacking. I think there may be some sparse, practical uses... like large financial reports or something of that nature, but this is little more than an irritation.
that's as far as I got into the site. not going back.

I am going to have to second the full screen effect. I've got a 21" monitor and rarely use the whole screen to browse, so when I get forced it sucks, and I hate it, and in turn hate the site.
Your client may like the idea of 'forcing' everyone to look at it, but remember that it really is annoying to those of us on large screens. A 17" probably won't notice or care.
It is the most annoying thing someone can do (besides eliminating the entire IE borders, which I do try to find the damn close button and close it immediately).
And to whomever said that Flash shouldn't have vertical scrollbars? What?

Your textboxes keep bouncing up and down, making it kinda hard to read whats in them.

the Brown wallpaper thing doesn't work for me with the content area- big colour clash. there doesn't seem much point in expanding the browser when the content area only takes up half of it. Your type looks generally a little too large... personally I don't like the loading graphic.. and not sure about the springy menus - they feel a little over the top to me.
generally I think the architecture of the site works fine, the major problem for me is cosmetic, I think it needs to be cleaner , smaller type, + more space for the images to breath?

It woud have been nice if you looked for inspiration in what the site is about. African Decorative art. You might have comeup with a unique site. This site is fine. It just seems more inspired by other unrelated sites than it's actual subject.
- IloveQBN0
I agree with magicroni, you seem to have misused the design for something that has no relevance to the subject.
I do like the background tile image, but it doesn't go.
go check http://budlight.com it's a tight flash site that needs no vertical scroll.
