I am sure we have all posted our sites to the Public Broadcast section of this site. I know I have a few times when I have updated etc but some people are taking the biscuit.
FatChen is one that I keep seeing. Just search the PBS and search author: FatChen.
EVERY POST in the PBS is a link to his site.
Kind of annoying. Or at least it annoys me anyway.

definitely violating #4 of the broadcast manual...
actually, if he's selling stuff on pbs (and he is), then nt is free advertising for them. which makes it spam in every sense of the term (cept for the pork one).

I know, I really like the way that anybody can post to the PBS and seeing it abused does bug me.

search v7 also. almost 1 a day.

and JOOST
etc. etc...

i agree. hate the way it gets abused by the same people. http://www.thelooplounge.co.uk/ 3 times yesterday and http://www.creatiu.com/ are another couple of abusers

Again the privelge provided to many is being spoilt by the few.

You wouldent be complaining if FI or 2A or WDDG among others were using this system to promote their products/services.
- geeque0
to HIVE7. we would if they did it EVERY day
- unknown0
I would.

Then QBN needs to put limits on the PBS.

actually, we complain about 2a and fi anyway.

I don't remember ever linking mysef up in the PBS, but, reading this thread I can't help but wonder ...
In the grand scheme of things, if someone links themselves in the PBS once a day until the end of time or even *gasp* three times in a single day on one particular day .... does it really matter? In the hierarchy of Things To Worry About, surely that doesn't rank very high?

I've seen peeps complaining about WDDG as well......
We are just old whining bitchy ladies.....gotta love the PV-AN!
peasants!
:D
- kpl0
yes, it does matter.
people stopped reading newsgroups when spam drowned out the rest of the posts.
when was the last time you paid attention to pbs? or found a link worth clicking?

It just bugs me because that is not what the PBS was designed for.
It is in the "Broadcast Manual" not to post the same link lots of times.
The main things that annoys me is the mentality of the people doing the spam posting. They must be pretty sad to post their link so many times, and by that I mean, they must judge the success of their personal sites by hits.
Personally I am not bothered if I get 10 hits or 1000's/Day. I create and maintain my sites for myself and my friends. Any other users is nice but not the sole purpose of my site.

remind me to stop asking rhetorical questions.
noise to signal. that's all i'm saying.
