Any nice ideas/suggestions of rising your Apple flat screen?
Mine's too low, I've done the job by putting some phone books underneath it.
I don't like most monitor stands, too bad you can't really attach the screen to a wall...
Any ideas or interesting products?

I was actually thinking about this the other day, not that I have a Flat screen, but boy would I like one...
Drafting table Lamp! Take the lamp off of it and use the arm. I imagine the screen is too heavy though... which is what I was thinking at the time...
so maybe forget I said anything.
just a thought.

Interesting idea... really!

that's funny, I have the same wish. I was thinking of removing the leg from my cinema display and attaching an arm that swivels from the wall.

There are commercial versions of the adjustable arm available, I forget wherer I saw them. Pretty neat though, do a google on it, there's probably quite a few out there... and they are designed to hold the weight.
Is it a 22" you want to adjust?

yes a 22"

you can get swivel arm monitor stands at staples... they're built for CRT's, though.
could probably modify one with a good dremel :)

They actually make longer shafts for the iMac?
Nice.

The only reasonable thing I found is this:

Too dull though and it probably costs too much...

Trying some alternate thinking - suspend it from the ceiling.
why not?

One I saw on Discovery a mexican restaurant that had a bunch of Apple Displays (17") hagin'on the walls and the menus were displayed on them.
Maybe you could get something like that, using a normal wall page support.

is building a small shelf too easy?
thats what i plan to do when i get mine.. i might even elevate it higher to have plans beneath it.

I stll like like the idea of that swivel arm attached to a wall...
attaching it directly to the wall is nice too though but how..

The screen weighs a lot though and I don't think my crunchy 80-year old walls can support so much weight.

You can look at some stuff lfor your monitor on Apple's buyer database, they have lists of products with links and pictures.

I like that ICurve stand. Too bad you can't use it for a standalone flat screen....

How about...

Yes! Finally!
Quiet expensive though..

Well it's just an accessory..
