I want to install Linux in an old computer that i have, but i'm confused of wich Linux Distribution i should install: Suse, Mandrake, Red Hat?
Wich is more user friendly, wich is more reliable, stable....Could anyone give me some lights about this matter or some links to collect this information?
Thx in advance.

i think it depends on what you are gonna do with it. i have heard the madrake one is good.
wish i had a straight answer for ya:)

for a new user, either mandrake or redhat.
although, be weary, the new version of both distro's weigh in heavy on system power...redhat 8.0 needs at least 128 meg of ram and a p2 to run now.
much larger than before.
i would say mandrake.
what are your plans?
oh, and suse - the full version is commercial, not free. last time i checked you can only download the base os (only one disk) from their site...the other 7 cost ya.
:)
you can check out fuckmicrosoft.com for any questions or other distros you maybe interested in.

thanks guys. I think Mandrake is considered by many (at least the forums i checked) the linux distribution that is more accepted by newcomers.
hmmm, sp, fuckmicrosoft.com!? I should have thought something like that...
