who has comic sans stories? i do.
many fortnights ago, i was putting together a website, solely for the enertainment of my friends, when i took a break to check out a forum, on a design portal so very much like this one. Several people were having a few laughs at the expense of old 'comic sans', and i couldnt help but grimace. Seemed to me that ripping on comic sans had become the cool thing to do...
then i thought, dammit, i'll score a blow for old comic sans and slip it onto this site somewhere... and I did. I was actually quite proud of myself when it was all said and done. I felt i had won back a small bit of dignity for comic sans, if only briefly, on a site that almost noone would see.
a few of my friends checked out the site the next day, and almost the first comment i heard was. "its pretty cool except for that one ugly font you used there".
I'm sorry comic sans. I guess I failed you.

type a € (alt + 0128) in Comic Sans. ZOOM in and tell me what you see.

I think I'm a bit stupid here. What should I see? I see something slightly looking like a vagina opening, but that might just be me missing a sex life...

actually, it looks like a eye on the tip of the c...
hmm...that's not good.

I like comic sans. It's unpretentious. And (this is a high claim) My Mum really likes it! Says it all i think. A font for the people!
