Who here uses it? I never have but I'm wondering if it might make my life easier to start using it.

I've used it a couple times...
for some reason .png's coming out of 3dStudiomax are all screwwy ing PS, but they look fine in imageready... so I useit to batch process them.
you can make animated gifs with it too.

is it easier say if you are cutting up a interface to get it ready for the web?

yea. it is good for web work only really.
though in recent versions of PS, the two become more the same.
it is still better to split up your image in IR though cuz you can control each slice more quickly. also good for animating gifs if you need to do that sort of thing.
i like it and it can from time to time make life easier.

its good for optimisation and making animated gifs

I use it all the time (mainly for photo content processing for an online magazine), and rarely jump into Photoshop... There's a lot of interface stuff that's better arranged for web content production than in Photoshop.. like batch processing and image optimization workflow....

I use it all the time, works best if you have a design that has elements that should be jpg's and gif's all working together, because you can see the image cutup and optimized or Im rambling and reiterating others posts.
